Bayern resume Bundesliga action on Sunday when entertain Mainz.

Speaking at the pre-game press conference, Flick suggested that Sané is in contention to see some action.

“He has trained very well this week and is on the right track,” the manager said.

In terms of the longer term, Flick still believes the winger has a lot to offer last season’s treble winners.

“When he controls the ball, it is of enormous quality. He is always good for an action that can hurt the opponent,” the former Germany assistant explained.
