Hakim Ziyech moves closer to Ajax move as Anthony prepares for Man U transfer | OneFootball

Chelsea’s desire to sell off one of their attacking players has been a hard one to fulfill.

For a long time, it’s seemed like nobody wanted to buy Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic or Callum Hudson-Odoi – but now we’re finally getting some action on at least one of those fronts.

Gianluca Di Marzio has just Tweeted that Hakim Ziyech is “close” to a move back to Ajax, after a couple of underwhelming seasons at Chelsea.

The move seems contingent on the colossal Man U bid to sign Ajax’s current star winger Antony. The Red Devils are about to drop €100m on the Brazilian, which certainly gives Ajax the pocket money they need to buy Ziyech from us.

What a shame we won’t get the full sum – but at this stage, freeing up any money to spend on a replacement is useful. Ziyech’s time at the club is up, and there won’t be many too unhappy about that.
