Manchester City will lock horns with AFC Bournemouth on Saturday evening, hoping to pick up all three points away from home. The visitors will be coming into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League, whereas Gary O’Neil’s men recorded a 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

Pep Guardiola will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation with a couple of tweaks from the last game as Rico Lewis seems likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.

Defence

Ederson Moraes will operate in between the sticks for the upcoming clash. The Brazilian shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Saturday.

Ruben Dias will form the centre-half partnership with Manuel Akanji at the heart of City’s backline.

Rico Lewis should be a starter at the right-back position, whereas Nathan Ake will fill in on the other flank as the left-back. The full-backs will be expected to stay compact and keep their shape defensively.

Rodri might start in the holding midfield position and could be assigned with more of a defensive role to shield the away side’s back four.
