Gosling happy at Watford amid strong midfield competition

Dan Gosling is eyeing a key role with Watford this season.

The former Everton and Bournemouth midfielder returns to the Premier League season after joining Watford in January.

"Of course I want to play and be a mainstay in the middle," Gosling told the Watford Observer.

"We've got a big squad, everyone needs to be ready. There's nine subs again and in the Premier League you need all your all your subs and the whole squad. Everyone will be ready.

"I've loved my time since January, so I'll be here, I'm sure. We've got five or six midfielders here, Chalo's struggling a little bit the moment, he's done a bit of training behind the scenes. He won't be too far away, so there's another body.

"The club will deal with all the players and their own situations, but I'm happy and I'm here to stay."
