Gonçalo Guedes leaves Wolves to join Real Sociedad

Gonçalo Guedes has officially left Wolves to join LaLiga side Real Sociedad, with the Spanish club reportedly paying around £3.5 million (€4 million) for the Portugal international.

The 28-year-old initially joined Wolves from Valencia in 2022 but struggled to cement a place in the starting XI.

After a short stint at Molineux, he returned to Benfica on loan, and then later spent time at Villarreal.

Guedes remained with Wolves throughout the 2024/25 season but was largely used from the bench, starting just 10 of his 29 Premier League appearances.

Wolves have already moved to reinforce their forward line following his departure, bringing in Colombian winger Jhon Arias and sealing a permanent deal for striker Jørgen Strand Larsen from Celta Vigo.
