Zlatan Ibrahimović isn’t a man who is all that popular among Juventus fans anymore.
And you can’t really blame them either.
After all, he was one of the guilty parties who jumped the sinking ship post-Calciopoli.
Adding insult to injury, he left for hated rivals Inter and even went on to cement his so-called mercenary status among both their fans by signing for Milan.
But you can’t overlook his contributions as a prodigiously talented youngster during his two years in Turin.
He has scored some special goals during his career but one of the best came on a cold November night in the Eternal City of Rome.
His Juve side left the capital with a well deserved 4-1 victory but it was their second on the night, via the Swede, which is still recalled fondly today.
There had already been some stunners from the striker by this point in his career but this showcased everything he had in his locker.
An outrageous outside of the boot pass from Emerson appeared a little high for Ibra to control properly. Think again.
Even if he did get a touch on it, it was unlikely to be a helpful one.
Or so you’d think.
But Samuel Kuffour was closing in on and putting pressure on him, surely he’d stop him in his tracks? Watch what he does to one of the world’s best defenders of the early noughties.
In goal, Doni did a good job of narrowing the angle as the last line of defence, giving Ibrahimović very little options. Aside from a sublime front-post finish that is.
The goal had everything: a perfect example of the ridiculous range he has in his locker.
Juve fans may never forgive him. But they can also never forget him.
