Borussia Mönchengladbach could look to sign a Borussia Dortmund player as they look to rebuild for the new season.
The Foals lost Thorgan Hazard to Dortmund last month but are looking to reinvest the reported €25.5m fee they received for the Belgian.
With new head coach Marco Rose set to arrive, a number of players are being targeted, including one from Dortmund.
“We are active and are in intense discussions with our preferred players,” Max Eberl told Rheinische Post.
“We have already made a lot of progress.”
Eberl would not confirm who Gladbach’s targets are but the report claimed Dortmund’s Maximilian Philipp is one of them.
They added that wing-back Valentino Lazaro, midfielder Xavier Schlager and forward Dodi Lukebakio are also being considered.
