Olivier Giroud showed he has far from a spent force after scoring all four goals in the 4-0 win over Sevilla on Wednesday.
Both teams had already qualified for the Champions League knockout rounds, but the Blues will now finish on top of Group E.
Julen Lopetegui called Chelsea the best attacking team in England prior to kick-off, and the visitors certainly showed their pedigree at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Giroud scored early in each half with two delightful finishes after assists from Kai Havertz and Matteo Kovacic.
The 34-year-old, who continues to be linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge, then completed the perfect hat-trick by scoring a neat-post header from N'Golo Kante's cross.
Giroud was then fouled in the box, giving him the chance to complete his quadruple from 12-yards out.
In other good news for Chelsea fans, Billy Gilmour made his long awaited return from injury as a second-half substitute.
The Blues host Leeds United at home on Saturday before facing Krasnodar next week.
