Girona want to sign Edu Expósito from Eibar

, Girona are targeting Eibar’s Edu Expósito this transfer window.

The 25-year-old has expressed his desire to leave Eibar as he wants to play in La Liga.

Expósito is also on Elche’s radar, however, the midfielder would prefer to move to Girona as the Catalan city is closer to where he grew up.

As he is still contracted to play for the Basque side, they are not willing to release the player on a free and are waiting for offers that are close to his market valuation.

It appears as though Girona are winning the race to sign Expósito as the club have reportedly tabled an offer that is close to Eibar’s asking price.

Expósito was one of the better players in an Eibar side that failed to get promoted last season to La Liga. He made 40 appearances in the second division, in which he scored eight times and provided six assists.
