Girona sets the future for two young African talents
Girona FC continues to put its faith in its rising African stars. The Catalan club has made a decision on the futures of Lass Kourouma and Dawda Camara, two players who have made their mark with the reserve team.
Lass Kourouma, a 21-year-old Guinean midfielder, was one of the main architects behind Girona B’s promotion to the Segunda Federación. Vision, tempo control, and versatility make him a well-rounded prospect. Several LaLiga Hypermotion clubs have shown interest, but Girona has shut the door on any departure. The club is counting on him to play a role between the reserves and the first team this season.
For his part, Dawda Camara Sankharé, a 22-year-old Mauritanian striker, is also attracting plenty of interest. After a standout season in the regional championship, he impressed with his physical strength, aerial ability, and his skill at playing with his back to goal. He took part in preseason with the first team. Girona is open to a loan move to help him rack up professional minutes.
