La Liga outfit Girona have on Thursday announced a fresh fitness blow in the club’s first-team squad.
This comes amid confirmation that midfielder Jhon Solís is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Solís, for his part, has found himself in and out of the XI at the Estadi Montilivi over the early weeks of the campaign, on his way to nine appearances across all competitions, three from the off.
Amid a shortage of personnel at the disposal of boss Míchel at present, though, the Colombian’s presence as an option either as a starter or off the bench was considered an altogether important one.
In turn, it will mark a blow for the Catalans to learn that they look set to be forced to make do without Solís for the best part of the next month.
As per a statement across Girona’s website and social media platforms on Thursday, the 20-year-old has picked up a thigh injury, which is expected to keep sidelined for a period of around four weeks:
‘Jhon Solís suffers an injury to the femoral biceps of his right leg. Estimated downtime: 4 weeks.’
