After Ghana lost to Uruguay in their last group stage game of the World Cup, Thomas Partey was seen exchanging shirts with Luis Suarez.

While Suarez was in tears after the game, several Ghana fans were delighted with the fact that his team were knocked out of the tournament considering the background of the rivalry. Suarez’s handball had indirectly cost Ghana a spot in the semi-final of the 2010 World Cup, as they missed a penalty in normal time.

Suarez played well against Ghana yesterday, but that couldn’t prevent Uruguay from going out as South Korea managed to beat Portugal to go through to the next round of the competition.

Partey was seen exchanging shirts with Suarez after the game, but that didn’t leave too many Ghana fans pleased due to the background of the rivalry.
