La Liga outfit Getafe have on Monday closed a deal for a fresh addition to the club’s midfield ranks, with a view to next season.

The player all set to make his way to the Estadio Coliseum? Christantus Uche.

Uche, for his part, is a 20-year-old central midfielder, who is currently plying his trade in the Spanish third division, with AD Ceuta.

A near-ever-present in his side’s engine room ranks, the Nigerian U23 international’s impressive performances have long begun to pique attentions across the La Liga landscape.

In fact, during the winter window, a number of top-flight clubs are understood to have expressed a keen interest in his signature.

In the end, though, Uche stayed put, opening the door for the aforementioned Getafe, this week, to swoop in decisive fashion.

As per a report from Relevo, backing news first broken by journalist Ángel García, the Azulones have reached an agreement with their counterparts at Ceuta, regarding the terms of a summer transfer for Uche.

In fact, it is claimed that the youngster has already gone as far as to put pen to paper on a contract with his future club.
