La Liga outfit Getafe are amongst the leading candidates to land a highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at Aston Villa this summer.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Cameron Archer as the player in question.
Archer, for his part, is understood to have been made available for transfer with a view to the season ahead.
Considered as being on the fringes of Unai Emery’s Villa squad, a loan solution is being sought for the 22-year-old, to ensure regular playing time for the Englishman.
And, as alluded to above, one club ready to offer up as much to Archer come in the form of Getafe.
The Azulones, on the lookout for reinforcements in the attacking third following the departures of Mason Greenwood, Jaime Mata and Juanmi Latasa, are understood to have turned their attentions firmly towards Villa’s talented academy product.
The brass at the Estadio Coliseum, though, face stiff competition for Archer…
As per Fabrizio Romano:
‘Union Berlin and Getafe [are] leading the way, while Bournemouth were showing interest earlier this summer.’
