In addition to the “Footballer of the year”, “Kicker” have also revealed Germany's “Coach of the year” (2024/25): Julian Schuster!

Freiburg's headcoach, who took over from Freiburg legend Christian Streich ahead of the 2024/25 season, helped his team to a fantastic 5th place in the Bundesliga, only missing out on Champions League qualification by 3 points!

Schuster received 97 votes and won ahead of Horst Steffen (76 votes) and Hansi Flick (72 votes). He succeeds Xabi Alonso, who won the award last year.

German sports journalists decide and vote for their winner each year: possible winners have to be coaching in the Bundesliga or be German (or both). A list of all winners since 2010 is down below.
