Dzsenifer Marozsán is set for an extended spell on the sidelines, as the German women’s national team announced the 30-year-old midfielder ruptured a cruciate ligament in a World Cup qualifying match against Serbia.
She has now undergone successful surgery.
As a result, the midfielder — who has amassed 111 caps for Germany since 2010 — has been ruled out for selection in this summer’s Euros and will miss the Champions League final.
