The Nigerian striker remains uncertain about his future with Genk.

Tolu Arokodare admitted this weekend that his future remains unclear. Speaking after the match against Standard, the Racing Genk striker showed obvious frustration regarding his personal situation. Transfer rumors have been swirling for several months, but nothing concrete has materialized yet.
Tolu Arokodare is going through a tricky period at KRC Genk. Despite being the club's top scorer last season, the Nigerian international now starts matches on the bench. Against Standard, he once again began the game as a substitute before coming on and scoring Genk’s only goal of the night. In exclusive comments, the 24-year-old forward expressed total uncertainty about his future.
"I can't say anything about it, I don't know any more than you do. You hear rumors, I hear rumors, but have you heard anything concrete? Everyone wants to play in the Premier League, me too. But in the end, it doesn't matter that much. I just want to play good football and feel appreciated, like I did at Genk. I don't know if I'm leaving this season or the next," admitted the Nigerian striker, sounding pessimistic.
The top scorer of the 2024/25 Pro League season is open to other destinations. Above all, he wants to play in an environment where he can showcase his potential and feel valued, as was the case at Genk until recently. In any case, the current situation is weighing heavily on the player born in Festac Town. He acknowledges that the uncertainty surrounding his future is a major source of frustration.
"Anything can happen in football. It's very frustrating not knowing what's going on. I try to stay calm, even though my head is spinning. But I have my friends and family to keep me mentally stable," concluded Tolu Arokodare.
