Genk have confirmed that Yira Sor will not feature again this season. The club had hoped to recover Sor from his injury for the upcoming play-offs, but it appears that the severity of the injury means he will not be able to come back before next season. Sor has played 20 Pro League games this season for the side, scoring six goals and providing one assist. The Nigerian has also featured in Europe, playing four times in the Europa Conference League. The 23-year-odl joined the side last January from Slavia Prague for around €6.5m and is under contract until 2027.

Genk open their Champions Play-Offs against league leaders Union St Gilloise on Monday evening. The side are battling to finish in the top four or five of the mini-group in order to have a chance of returning to European football next season. They begin bottom of the group but are only two points off of third.
