AC Milan’s U23 side is starting to take shape ahead of the inaugural season in Serie C, with a spot in the league having opened up for the Rossoneri to claim.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is a lot of juggling to be done as the directors try and decide what the composition of the team should be and which players will be of most importance.

The coach Daniele Bonera and director Jovan Kirovski are working hard to assemble a squad and that means evaluating what youth players they want in the project, whilst also seeing what signings need to be made to supplement them.

It will be important to have a blend of Primavera stars and new players who have some experience playing in Serie C.

Noah Raveyre and Lapo Nava are expected to compete in goal, whilst defenders like Alex Jimenez, Davide Bartesaghi and Jan-Carlo Simic are expected to be involved as long as they are all still at the club. Marco Pellegrino could also be involved.

Further up the pitch, Kevin Zeroli, Diego Sia and Filippo Scotti will all be there, whilst Francesco Camarda is expected to lead the line and take the next step in his career.

Maximilian Ibrahimovic, the son of Zlatan, may also be an important player in the new team, along with some returning loanees/young players like Luka Romero, Chaka Traore and Marco Nasti.

In terms of transfers, Gabriele Minotti is expected to join from Giani Erminio and Foggia right-back Emmanuele Salines may also sign.
