GdS: Milan player ratings from Juventus draw – duo impress; Kessie ‘slow and predictable’ | OneFootball

There was a mixed bag of scores given out by La Gazzetta dello Sport in their player ratings from last night’s 1-1 draw between Juventus and AC Milan.

The paper (via MilanLive) have picked out Brahim Diaz as the best player for the Rossoneri with a score of 7 out of 10 for the Spaniard, who did not lose the ‘battle of the number 10s’ against Paulo Dybala. Ante Rebic also did well and got the same score because – in addition to scoring the equaliser – he showed fight and sacrifice amid a lot of absences.

There were a batch of positive displays too such as Mike Maignan, Fikayo Tomori, Sandro Tonali and Pierre Kalulu, all awarded with 6.5. The same score was awarded to Ismael Bennacer who certainly sped up the movement of the ball when he came on.

A 6 went to the centre-backs Kjaer and Romagnoli who struggled in difficulty first half due to the space they gave to Juventus, while Alessandro Florenzi got the same score.

In terms of disappointments, Rafael Leao and Alexis Saelemaekers did not have their best game and got a 5.5 as well as Theo Hernandez, who appeared shocked after giving the ball away for the first goal, but the real disappointment is Kessie who got a five for being ‘slow and predictable’.
