Wolves boss Gary O’Neil has confirmed the devastating news that Pedro Neto could miss the remainder of the season after suffering another in a long line of injuries.
O’Neil’s men were stunned by two late goals to be sent crashing out of the cup at the quarter-final stage, but now salt is being rubbed into the fresh wound after the fact.
Neto had already missed a sizable chunk of the season with a hamstring problem, and it appears the other leg has fallen foul of the same issue.
“Pedro, potentially end of season for him, very similar to the injury he had on the other side,” O’Neil said.
Luckily for the Wolves boss, his side are comfortably safe relegation, but Neto’s absence could harm any late push towards the European places.
