Galton scored two and assisted another as The Red Devils moved up to third place in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League table.
While Manchester United now occupy a European qualification place, Galton says that she is not focusing on the table too much with a number of important games yet to be played out.
“I take a look (at the table) now and again but I don’t take it too seriously at the moment,” Galton told the media after the match.
“Every week, another team is beating another team and you never know in this league, everyone just beats each other so you just have to wait until the end of the season.”
Galton went on to express her delight at scoring a brace, ending a goal drought which dates back to early October when she netted against the same opponents.
“It’s a relief, it is nice to start the New Year like that. I have been lacking a few goals and being clinical so it is nice to start the New Year with two goals and an assist.
“The whole team have kept themselves fit over Christmas and it is nice to have a dominant performance like that, I think it shows.”
Galton will be hoping to make a similar impact when Manchester United travel to Meadow Park to face Arsenal in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.
