La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri was furious with his players after last week’s loss against Lazio: he did nothing to hide his anger, but he then ‘sought help’ from four dressing room leaders.
Juventus have won just one league game in the last nine and suffered a 1-0 loss in their latest Serie A match against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Adam Marusic’s late goal infuriated Juventus coach Allegri, who did nothing to hide his frustration inside the dressing room immediately after the final whistle.
According to the report, Allegri was furious with his players and had a ‘tough’ confrontation with them inside the Olimpico.
However, after venting his anger, he met four dressing room leaders: Danilo, Adrien Rabiot, Alex Sandro, and Wojciech Szczesny. Allegri reportedly ‘sought help’ to keep attention high and make everyone aware that more defeats could prevent Juventus from finishing in the top four and qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Juventus will host Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday and will be looking for their first victory in Serie A since February 25.
