The Camp Nou has officially sold out for Barcelona’s Women’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid in March.

The Clásico rivals were pitted against each other at the quarter-final stage as holders Barça aim to retain their crown.

And the game will now be contested in front of a record-breaking crowd in the Catalan capital on March 30.

After 35,600 tickets were sold in the first 24 hours, that number had moved up to 70,000 by Friday afternoon before officially selling out over the weekend.

It will be the third meeting between the sides in the space of two weeks as they also meet in the league at the Estadi Johan Cruyff in mid-March before the first leg of their Champions League clash in Madrid the following week.

The fixture will now set a women’s football attendance record in Spain.

The highest ever women’s attendance of 80,203 for the 2012 Olympics final between USA and Japan at Wembley now also looks set to be beaten.
