Fulham defender Calvin Bassey is expected to be fit to face Sheffield United on Saturday after recovering from an injury scare on Nigeria duty.
The 27-year-old missed Nigeria’s win over Ghana through injury and flew home from Morocco before their second friendly against Mali.
But initial assessments have revealed his injury is not as bad as feared, and the £19.3million summer signing from Ajax hopes to be fit for this weekend’s trip to Bramall Lane.
Fulham will be looking to follow up their 3-0 win over Tottenham before the international break as they bid to finish the season strongly.
Marco Silva’s side are outsiders for Europe, with clubs as low as eighth in the table able to qualify for the Europa Conference League.
Brentford’s Frank Onyeka also left the Nigeria camp due to a family matter but he will be available for their game against Manchester United on Saturday.
