L’Équipe report that PSG are waiting for movement in the transfer market to help accelerate their pursuit of a striker, with rivals Manchester United and Bayern Munich also searching for a number nine.
Paris, for now, have moved on from Victor Osimhen due to Napoli’s fee demands, while the Ligue 1 club continues to monitor Harry Kane’s contractual situation and could make a move later in the window.
One striker who has fallen off Paris’ wish list altogether is Frankfurt’s former Nantes forward Randal Kolo Muani. Talks have recently come to a close as the German club waits for the right offer to arrive, while new coach Dino Toppmöller tries to convince the 24-year-old French international to stay for one more season.
Similar to the situation with Osimhen, this has prompted PSG to explore other options. The club’s sporting director, Luis Campos, has privately communicated that Kolo Muani will not be joining PSG, even though transfer rivals Bayern Munich also prefer a move for Kane over Kolo Muani.
