Dan Friedkin has kickstarted Roma’s search for a new CEO following Lina Souloukou’s decision to step down from her role at the club.
The question of who will take the Greek executive’s place remains unanswered, and the Texan ownership appears to be exploring various options.
According to Il Messaggero, one of the first names suggested to the management was that of Andrea Chiavelli, a trusted man of the Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, with long experience in football and the film sector. However, negotiations to hire him never took off.
To accelerate the search, the Friedkins asked for the support of CAA Base, a global agency that manages over 600 footballers and is also responsible for recruiting management figures and sporting directors.
This agency will provide profiles to evaluate in the next few days.
In parallel, the search seems to initially focus on the Premier League, a territory now familiar to the Friedkins after the acquisition of Everton, with the aim of finding a managerial figure capable of leading Roma.
