Antoine Griezmann, reportedly to his frustration, was dropped for France’s final group stage game, an underwhelming 1-1 draw against Poland. However, he is expected to return to the line-up as Didier Deschamps tinkers with his formula yet again.
Les Bleus are yet to find their rhythm yet in Euro 2024. In search of fluidity, Deschamps is set to change formation yet again, this time turning to a 4-4-2 diamond. As a result, both wingers who started against Poland, Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé, will drop out of the lineup, L’Équipe understands.
In their places, Marcus Thuram will come in to partner Kylian Mbappé up front, whilst Griezmann will also return, spearheading the midfield. Aurélien Tchouaméni will play in the No.6 role, with Adrien Rabiot and N’Golo Kanté playing on either side.
