FC Barcelona may have a lot of injuries to deal with, but the club also has a luxury that no other club possesses. Had it not been for the club’s almost limitless reserves of talented youth footballers, La Blaugrana may not have thrived as much as they have. Fortunately, even in desperate times, Barcelona can always count on their youth.

So far this season, many news faces have emerged and have managed to impress Hansi Flick. Players like Marc Bernal and Sergi Dominguez have earned themselves opportunities under the German coach, but it seems that more players could end up joining those ranks.

With the latest inquiry to Barcelona star Dani Olmo looking likely to keep him out of action for the next handful of games, the club could look at some alternative options within the subsidiary and the academy to replace the absent player in the first team for the games to come.

As a result, SPORT has highlighted four names that could come into the first team during these testing times. Some of those names are quite familiar for Hansi Flick, and they could just end up doing a lot of good for Barcelona in the coming games.

Unai Hernandez (aged 19):

In terms of a perfect stylistic replacement, Hansi Flick would have to look no further than Barcelona Atletic’s Unai Hernandez. Already aged 19 and much more mature than the other players on this list, he offers solid dribbling ability, a powerful long-range striking quality, and also possesses great movement that could be beneficial for a team as fluid in attack as this Barcelona led by Hansi Flick.

Guille Fernandez (aged 16):

A physically gifted and versatile player, Guille Fernandez possesses the competitive spirit and grit needed to succeed in a team led by Hansi Flick. The coach is also already aware of his talents and has called him up before as well. With strong ball control and great technical ability mixed with physical power, Guille Fernandez could be a great option as well.

Toni Fernandez (aged 16):

In terms of flair and dynamism, there is perhaps no better option than Toni Fernandez for this Barcelona team. Able to perform the wildest of acrobatic manoeuvres to score goals while also possessing the vision and composure to string together brilliant passes, Toni Fernandez is a player for the future and Hansi Flick is already well aware of his potential.

Quim Junyent (aged 17):
