Fortuna Sittard set to sign former PSG and Sunderland midfielder on free transfer | OneFootball

Eredivisie outfit Fortuna Sittard are plotting an ambitious move for highly rated French midfielder Édouard Michut. The former PSG player is currently a free agent after leaving Adana Demirspor in the summer, and Dutch journalist Falco Cremers claims Fortuna are close to completing the signing of the youngster.

Michut kicked off his career at Paris Saint-Germain, where he rose through the ranks in the youth academy before featuring eight times for the first team. In the summer of 2022 the 21-year-old joined Championship side Sunderland on loan. He impressed at the Stadium of Light, making 28 appearances across all competitions.

Fortuna Sittard look to be Édouard Michut‘s next club, and given their impressive start to the season, it could be the perfect destination for the France youth international. The club currently sit 7th in the Eredivisie table, in the European playoff places. Michut would join some relatively big names in Fortuna Sittard’s midfield. The club is currently home to Burnley loanee Samuel Bastien and former Barcelona prospect Alen Halilović.
