The Norwegian club announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website.
Eikeland joins SK Brann on a free transfer following the conclusion of her contract at Reading. She has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Norwegian club.
The forward spent four years with Reading after joining the club in summer 2019. Eikeland made 100 appearances for The Royals in which she scored eight goals. The player offered plenty of versatility in her time with Reading, operating in several positions.
Eikeland was one of 13 players to leave Reading following their relegation to the Barclays Women’s Championship and she will now continue her career back home in Norway.
After joining SK Brann, Eikeland said “It feels very good to join SK Brann. It’s a big club that really invests in the women’s team and is on the way forward, so it’s very nice.
“There is a lot of exciting stuff going on here, and I want to win something. That’s something that Brann did last year.
“They’ve had a bit of a slow start this year, but there’s still a chance in the cup, and then they’re going out in the Champions League in the autumn.”
Eikeland is the first of Reading’s departing players to find a new club.
