The 28-year-old enjoyed two spells with Manchester United. Zelem initially spent her youth with The Red Devils before moving to Liverpool in 2013. She had four years with The Reds before spending one season with Italian club Juventus. Zelem returned to childhood club Manchester United in summer 2018 following the launch of the club’s full-time professional team.

In her six years as a senior player at Manchester United, Zelem made 115 appearances for the club in league competition in which she scored 26 goals. The player held the captain’s armband during her time at the Leigh Sports Village. Zelem was a Barclays Women’s Championship title-winner with The Red Devils in 2018/2019 and lifted the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with the club last term.

Zelem was expected to move overseas this summer and it has now been revealed that she will play in the United States for the first time in 2024/2025.
