The Saudi Arabian club announced the transfer via their official club X account this evening.
Robe joins The Tigers on a free transfer after leaving former club Liverpool at the end of last season. The player follows former Leicester City defender Ashleigh Plumptre in moving to Al-Ittihad. The Nigerian international sealed her move to the Saudi Arabian club last month.
In her five years with Liverpool, full-back Robe made more than 100 appearances for the club in all competitions. She was a member of the side which won the Barclays Women’s Championship title in 2021/2022. Robe made 11 league appearances for The Reds in the English top flight last season but often found herself named amongst the substitutes.
Robe will now start a brand new adventure across the world with Al-Ittihad.
Introducing herself to the Al-Ittihad fans, Robe said “I’m known for being quite a tough, aggressive defender and I have a lot of passion in my play. I’m hard-working and hopefully, I’ll be able to add a little bit of creativity (to the team) as well.”
Robe has already been introduced to her new teammates and she will prepare with the Al-Ittihad squad for their upcoming matches.
