Chelsea beat Sheffield United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge yesterday afternoon to give them all an important lift and boost as they look to try and push back up the league table.

Mauricio Pochettino has been feeling the pressure of late and you get a sense that a win yesterday was non-negotiable and there would have been no excuses taken if they didn’t come away with three points in front of their own fans.

The first 45 minutes was dull and Chelsea were poor. But in the second half they woke up and became much more of a threat in the final third, getting the all important two goals to finish their opponents off.

Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson grabbed the goals, but it was Moises Caicedo who played his best game so far in a Chelsea shirt according to former Chelsea player turned pundit, Jason Cundy.

As cited by The Chelsea Chronicle today, Cundy said:

“I would say his best game in a Chelsea shirt actually,” Cundy said via Chelsea’s 5th Stand App (4:25pm, 16 December).

He added in stoppage times (4:52pm): “Caicedo has had a very good game.”
