Former Chelsea forward Amelia Ajao has joined London City Lionesses on a three-year deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Pride this evening.

The 18-year-old is still awaiting game time at senior level in the elite game but she will now be hoping to make her mark in the Barclays Women’s Championship with London City Lionesses.

After joining The Pride, Ajao said “The Club is on a really exciting journey and having the opportunity to help the team and make an impact as we aim for the Women’s Super League was really appealing to me.

“I play on the wing and I like to be myself and show my skills. I like trying to beat players and I have a good shot, so hopefully I’m able to support the team this season.”

Ajao becomes London City Lionesses’ second signing of the summer transfer window. The Pride are expected to add several more new faces to their squad in the coming weeks as they prepare for the 2024/2025 season.
