The midfielder started her senior career in her native Republic of Ireland with Douglas-based club College Corinthians in 2014 before moving to the United States the following year where she combined her studies with playing football for the Florida State Seminoles.

In 2019, Connolly joined Brighton & Hove Albion where she went on to spend four years of her career. The player turned out for The Seagulls on 63 occasions in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she scored four goals. Connolly left Brighton & Hove Albion last summer and she went on to play for Bristol City in 2023/2024 where she held the captain’s armband.

Connolly will now turn her attention towards helping Lazio establish themselves in the Serie A Femminile eBay. She joins a team that were crowned Serie B champions last season. The player could link-up with her new teammates in Spain as they prepare to contest the Ramón de Carranza Trophy final with Cádiz CF this weekend.
