Former Bristol City goalkeeper Olivia Clark has joined Dutch Azerion Vrouwen Eredivisie club FC Twente on a two-year deal.

The Strong Women announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this morning.

Clark joins FC Twente after leaving former club Bristol City at the end of last season. The 22-year-old has also turned out for Boston United, Nettleham, Huddersfield Town, Coventry United and Watford in her senior career to date.

In her time at Bristol City, Clark showed glimpses of what she can do and she will be hoping for greater opportunities with new club FC Twente.

After joining FC Twente, Clark said “The first impressions here at FC Twente are very good. All my teammates have welcomed me very well.

“It will take some getting used to playing outside of England, but it is a challenge that I am happy to take on. Rene Roord and Joran Pot told me about the ambitions of the club, the team and the future plans in the coming years. That makes me very enthusiastic.

“FC Twente are of course national champions and they want to play in the Champions League. Playing in the Champions League is a big ambition of mine, it played a big role in coming here to Enschede.”

Seven of the players that have left Bristol City since the end of last season have now joined new clubs.
