Former Barcelona and Villarreal centre-back Edgar Le has denied reports that his brother is impersonating him at Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest. The story broke over the weekend that Edelino Le, his twin brother, could be pretending to be him.

Multiple reports emerged claiming that Dinamo were suspicious of Le, who they believed could speak English, and supposedly refused to show them his driving licence. As per MD, the Bucharest-based club have since denied it as a false rumour. They initial story stemmed from the fact that Dinamo allegedly wanted his licence to give him a sponsored car, while Edgar Le also had a score from surgery on his leg, which they did not know he’d had.

Edgar Le himself has also denied this to be the case to Jijantes, telling Gerard Romero that ‘The news is fake. It doesn’t exist.’

“I would never do something like that,” Le explained.

His twin Edelino has had a less illustrious career, moving from Sporting CP’s academy to Resende, and last playing in Poland. Meanwhile Edgar has played for the likes of Lille, Nantes and Trabzonspor since leaving Spanish football, and signed for Dinamo this past summer on a free.
