Sint Truiden have announced that Albanian winger Arbnor Muja has joined the club on loan until the end of the season. The Belgian side have managed to negotiate a purchase option with the 26-year-olds Turkish club Samsunspor, who he joined in 2024. The side have started the season unbeaten under Wouter Vrancken but wanted to increase the options in attack. Muja returns to the Pro League after just one and a half seasons, having left Antwerp during the 2023/2024 season’s winter transfer window.
In Muja, Sint Truiden are signing a player who helped Antwerp to win their first title in almost 50 years during the 2022/2023 season. The Albanian international played 33 games in all competitions as Antwerp completed a domestic double. Muja scored four goals and provided four assists. During the 2023/2024 campaign he played 35 games for Antwerp, with seven appearances in the Champions League. Before leaving for Samsunspor he had scored six goals and provided three assists. Muja has struggled to replicate those numbers in Turkish football, with just four goals and one assist in 50 games for Samsunspor.
