Nottingham Forest and Stoke City reached the Cup final, AFC Bournemouth and Cheltenham Town will play for the Plate.

League Cup Semi-Finals

Plymouth Argyle 0-3 Stoke City (Att: 633) Hashtag United 0-1 Nottingham Forest (Att: 190)

Charlie Wellings’ penalty in the last five minutes of the 90 sent Nottingham Forest through at Hashtag United, Stoke’s Shannon Stamps, Tamara Wilcock and an own-goal saw them overcome Plymouth at Home Park.

League Plate Semi-Finals

AFC Bournemouth 3-2 Manchester United Academy Cheltenham Town 1-0 Southampton FC Academy

Una Lue’s second-half goal put Cheltenham into the final but it needed a 90th-minute penalty save from Carys Pugh-Jones to protect their slim lead.

Bournemouth overcame an early setback to eliminate Manchester United’s U-21s. Gemma McGuinness, Ellie Strippel and Molly Barron-Clark all responded to Aoife Farrall’s opener, Mared Griffiths making for a tense finish when getting the visitors’ second a dozen minutes from time.

Northern Premier Division

Burnley 9-0 Stourbridge Rugby Borough 3-1 Halifax Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 Derby County West Bromwich Albion 1-3 Liverpool Feds (Att: 69)

Wolves defeated Derby with four first-half goals to go top, fellow title-chasers Burnley netted nine against Stourbridge. Rugby Borough were 3-1 winners over Halifax, Liverpool Feds won by the same score at West Brom after both victors led 3-0 at half time.

Southern Premier Division

Gwalia United A-A Ipswich Town Watford 2-3 Lewes (Att: 150)

Lewes went within two points of fourth-placed Watford when beating them 3-2 away. Kayla Ginger came off the bench to get a decisive third for the Rooks, scoring on her debut with her first touch and from outside the box. The Hornets were down to nine players with the dismissal of Annie Rossiter on the hour mark, Dre Georgiou having been sent off in the first half.

Ipswich were two up at Gwalia United by the break but the game at Newport Stadium was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch.

Division 1 Midlands

Lincoln City 0-3 Sutton Coldfield Town Lincoln United 1-2 Notts County (Att: 72) Peterborough United 2-1 Barnsley Women (Att: 176) Worcester City 0-3 Leafield Athletic (Att: 137) Boldmere St Michaels 2-4 Loughborough Lightning

Peterborough’s 2-1 beating of Barnsley Women put them within two points of leaders Northampton Town but from two games more. Leafield are a point further back following a 3-0 victory at Worcester, Loughborough won 4-2 at Boldmere with braces by Morgan Rogers and Lauren Purchase to be five points off the top with a couple of games in hand on the Cobblers.

Division 1 North

Cheadle Town Stingers 0-0 Middlesbrough (Att: 107) Doncaster Rovers Belles 3-3 York City (Att: 88) Huddersfield Town P-P Leeds United Stockport County 1-1 Durham Cestria (Att: 54)

Middlesbrough are only behind fourth-placed Leeds on goal scored after their 0-0 draw at leaders Cheadle. There were important draws for three of the bottom five with only two points between them; Stockport holding Durham Cestria and Doncaster sharing six goals with York after Belles’ Jasmine Saxton’s penalty with the final kick.

Division 1 South Ea

Chesham United 5-2 Cambridge United (Att: 55) Norwich City 4-0 Dulwich Hamlet (Att: 258) Queens Park Rangers P-P London Bees Real Bedford 4-0 AFC Sudbury (Att: 85)

Real Bedford regained the leadership from Chatham Town when sending AFC Sudbury to a 4-0 defeat, Abbie Benstead scoring for the first couple. Norwich City had a similar success against Dulwich Hamlet, as they went third on goal-difference. Chesham climbed seven points clear of the bottom two with a 5-2 success over Cambridge United.

Division 1 South West

Abingdon United P-P Bridgwater United Bournemouth Sports P-P Maidenhead United Moneyfields 4-1 Bristol Rovers (Att: 51) Southampton Women 0-2 Worthing (Att: 52)

Moneyfields moved level on points with leaders Swindon Town when beating Bristol Rovers 4-1. Worthing rose to fourth with a 2-0 victory at Southampton Women.

Meanwhile in the Reserve’s knockout competitions, AFC Bournemouth won 2-0 at Leeds to set up a Cup final with Derby who came through 3-2 at Ipswich, Stoke beat Maidenhead 4-0 in the Plate and Stockport eliminated Portsmouth 3-1 in the other semi.
