Florian Grillitsch leaves Ajax for Bundesliga return | OneFootball

Hoffenheim have re-signed Florian Grillitsch on a three-year deal.

Grillitsch is something of a club legend at Hoffenheim having played nearly 150 Bundesliga games for them between 2017 and 2022.

The Austria international left to join Ajax last summer but after a difficult 12 months in the Dutch capital has now gone back to join Pellegrino Matarazzo’s men.

Speaking to the club’s official website, he said: “I’m really happy to be back at TSG Hoffenheim.

“In the past few weeks I’ve been in the fortunate position of being able to examine a large number of options and I made a conscious and full decision to return to TSG.

“I’ve never broken off contact with many people in the club and I know exactly what TSG stands for and what it takes to play football successfully here.

“The past few months have certainly brought me further in my development and I am looking forward to getting fully involved here again from day one.”
