Flamengo may be welcoming a new midfielder to their squad in Éverton Cebolinha.
The 26-year-old, who currently plays in Portugal with Benfica, has been linked with a move back to Brazil and it seems as though the transfer has reached the next stage.
According to a report in Brazil from O Dia’s Venê Casagrande, the player’s agent and Flamengo are set to hold a meeting on Wednesday and the two parties will meet ‘to close some details.’
The signing would be a boost for the club as Éverton has plenty of experience in Série A having played for Grêmio from 2014 to 2020.
He finished the 2021-22 season with seven goals and seven assists across 46 appearances for Benfica.
