As one of the most influential players at the club, Flamengo have been looking to permanently keep decisive striker Pedro in their squad.
According to GloboEsporte, Flamengo and Fiorentina have recently agreed upon a transaction and are working to finalize the payment.
The outlet reported both parties are interested in having “six half-yearly instalments, with no down payment, starting in 2021.”
So far this season, Pedro has appeared in 30 matches for the club and scored 17 goals. He is currently on international duty with Brazil.
The player’s contract with Flamengo runs until December and the new deal will supposedly see the player stay at the club until 2025.
If the deal is completed, manager Rogerio Ceni will have a vital reinforcement in his squad.
