Flamengo have mixed news on the squad front ahead of Sunday’s Brasileirão clash with Cuiabá.
The Rubro-Negro will have attacking duo Éverton Ribeiro and Gabriel Barbosa available after they returned from international duty with Brazil.
However Mauricio Isla will not be involved after his flight back from Chile was cancelled.
Gazeta Esportiva report that the full-back is not expected to land in Rio de Janeiro until Saturday night and, therefore, he will not be considered for the visit of the Dourado.
Centre-back Rodrigo Caio will not feature either, with the Mengão’s medical department keen to manage his minutes after a season heavily disrupted by injury to date.
Manager Renato Gaúcho must also contend without the services of injured trio David Luiz, Giorgian de Arrascaeta and Bruno Henrique.
Flamengo still maintain title aspirations, though they have little room for error as they find themselves 11 points behind leader Atlético Mineiro with two games in hand.
The hosts will be expected to account for Cuiabá, who came into the weekend’s action in ninth place.
