🎥 Flamengo academy star Caio Roque inspired by Marcelo

Flamengo are expecting big things from 18-year-old left-back Caio Roque, who just signed a contract extension back in March.

Despite being the subject of an offer from Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, Flamengo tied down their academy star to a deal which will run until December 2024.

If any club wants to purchase the player outright, it’s going to cost a pretty penny, as Flamengo slapped a €70m (R$411m) release clause on the teenager.

It appears Caio Roque is being inspired by the right players as he discusses his idolisation of Brazil and Real Madrid left-back Marcelo.

Roque is currently with the Flamengo U-20s but is expected to be implemented in the first-team squad when the day comes for Filipe Luís to either retire or leave the squad.
