Fiorentina face potential competition for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie, as he could return to the Bundesliga this summer.
The USMNT star is not part of the project under new coach Thiago Motta and with a contract set to expire in June 2025, he must be sold to avoid the risk of losing him as a free agent at the end of the season.
He had been included in the package deal going to Aston Villa for Douglas Luiz, only to refuse the move and force them to throw Enzo Barrenechea in there instead.
The favourites are Fiorentina, though they are bristling at the €10-15m asking price and trying to find ways to reduce it.
Now Sky Sports Deutschland transfer expert Florian Plettenberg has warned that several Bundesliga sides are interested in McKennie and could make an offer.
The player turns 26 later this month and was born in Texas, but moved to Germany at an early age where his father worked on an army base.
He started playing his football in Germany with Otterbach and then Schalke 04, moving to Juventus for €25m in 2020.
