The lowest-ranked country in the FIFA rankings have finally (finally!) scored a goal.
San Marino welcomed Denmark to town on Tuesday, creating a memorable moment despite the slim loss.
Down 1-0 at half-time, the hosts game out with a bit more spunk, and captain Alessandro Golinucci drew level thanks to a deflected volley.
The jubilation was fully displayed as San Marino’s substitutes invaded the pitch in celebration.
It is the country’s first competitive goal in over two years after scoring in a 7-1 loss to Poland on 5 September 2021.
San Marino rank 207th in the world, while Denmark are 18th.
