Colombia and debutants Morocco progress to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Round of sixteen, while Germany crash out.

Germany retrieved a point from their Group H game with South Korea in which they had fallen behind put a point was not enough to maintain their interest in the tournament.

Cho So-hyun scored just six minutes in, with Alexandra Popp equalising before the break.

Morocco took advantage of Germany’s disappointment by edging Colombia 1-0, a result which saw them finish runners-up in the group to their opponents.

The crucial moment came in first-half added time, when Ghizlane Chebbak’s penalty was saved but Anissa Lahmari netted the rebound.

While Colombia now go on to play Jamaica, Morocco face France.
