FIFA 23: The highest-rated African strikers, including Aubameyang, Drogba & Haller | OneFootball

FIFA 23 is finally out, with gamers finally getting a chance to start their journey on EA Sports’ new title which has led to mixed reviews.

As always, especially in Ultimate Team, it’s the need to find the perfect striker for your squad, learning new mechanics and what works in front of goal.

With a new chemistry system, it makes building squads a little different, so let’s look at the African strikers with the highest rating on the game.

After enjoying a great season with Ajax, Haller got a move back to one of the major leagues in Europe, signing for Borussia Dortmund and subsequently getting a nice 82 rated card on FIFA. Unfortunately, a cancer diagnosis has set his season back, but he still makes the top five on this list.

Napoli’s wonderkid takes the final non-podium spot, with his 83 card a very good option for a little over a thousand coins, he’s got to be a staple of many starter teams, especially with the link to the overpowered Kim Min-jae he links to who is cheap in his own right.

3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (85)

Despite receiving a large pace downgrade, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still takes top spot in terms of gold cards up top from Africa, with only icons ahead of him, he still looks quite good, but with his pace downgrade, he won’t be the force he once was in FIFA.

2. Didier Drogba (89)

The first icon on the list is Didier Drogba, with the Chelsea legend just missing out on top spot. He hasn’t been used much since being added to the game, but with a change in the way the META is, high agility and balance isn’t the only way to go, with lengthy players overpowered too, there’s much more scope to use more cards.

1. Samuel Eto’o (90)

Who could argue with Samuel Eto’o clinching top spot, similarly to Drogba, it’s Eto’o’s mid icon card used, with prime and prime moments cards not out yet. After a glittering career at the game, the pacey forward who has always been a go-to on the game is back as an icon and is the best African going off overalls.
