FULL-TIME SCORES
Despite Al-Hilal's ability to find goals when it mattered most, unquestionably the Man of the Match award has to go to Bono, who kept his side in it long enough to find their feet in the final third.
Another top-class performance from the Moroccan shot-stopper, who has given his club every chance of further progression when they lock horns with Fluminense in the quarter-finals on 4 July in Orlando.
FULL-TIME
Al-Hilal has done it!
A magical night in Orlando sees the Saudi outfit stun global giants Manchester City with a 4-3 extra-time win to book passage into the quarter-finals.
What a night for Saudi football!
CHANCE!!
And it's nearly five!!
A last-gasp block from Aké denies Neves at the back post a chance to seal progression with mere minutes left.
GOAL!!
Al-Hilal has done it again! They just are not giving up!
This time it's Leonardo again who scores from right on the goal line after Sergej Milinković-Savić won his header at the back post before the Brazilian did enough to bundle it over the line to complete his brace,
Inzaghi makes another change as he introduces Musab Al-Juwayr to replace Nasser Al-Dawsari
A look at Foden's goal for those who may not be watching. And what a way to hit your 100th for the club.
The first extra-time period is in the books with goals from Koulibaly and Foden keeping things level.
GOAL!!
Foden does it!!
The academy graduate and local hero bags the equaliser to make it 3-3 with an expertly taken full volley on the end of Cherki's ball to the back post.
What a goal all around for Foden's 100th goal for the club
Phil Foden has come on to replace Rodri as City look for another equaliser to avoid a shock defeat
GOAL!!!!
And it's Koulibaly who gives Al-Hilal the lead in extra-time after saving a goalscoring chance at the other end just a minute prior!
Cherki immediately makes a difference since his introduction, with the talented Frenchman finding space down the right to flash in a low cross that was dealt with astutely by Kalidou Koulibaly.
Their resulting corner amounted to nothing
Pep makes a double change before extra-time kicks off, with Rayan Cherki and Omar Marmoush replacing Tijjani Reijnders and Erling Haaland.
EXTRA-TIME
And we're into extra time in Orlando in another thrilling Round of 16 clash at the Club World Cup.
Al-Hilal have proven capable of standing tall against some of the biggest clubs in the world while Man City will look to set the record straight in the next half-hour.
They cannot as Man City then looked to blitz up the other end after clearing their likes only for Duko to seemingly be taken down with a chance to break into the final third.
Corner for Al-Hilal in the final 30 seconds of play...can they do it...?
CHANCE!
Kaio César sprung quickly into the City defensive third before cutting in on his left foot to shape up for a shot on goal but his effort could only bend high and wide of Ederson's post.
City must beware of being hit on the counter as they look for a winner.
Another pair of changes for Al-Hilal as João Cancelo and Moteb Al-Harbi are replaced by Hamad Al-Yami and Ali Al-Bulaihi
Ali Lajami had come on to replace Mohamed Kanno a few minutes prior
OFF THE LINE!!
Haaland was close to completing his brace on the night after the Norwegian seemingly bungled his effort over the line after Akanji struck woodwork but his effort was deemed to not fully cross over before being cleared.
So close for the Premier League giants!
Bono is then called into action to deny a long-range effort from Dias.
CHANCE!!
Al-Hilal spurns an excellent chance to retake the lead after Ruben Neves whips in a free-kick from out wide but Kanno could not get to hit as it sailed out for a goal kick.
He was all alone in the box with just Ederson to beat if he made contact.
CHANCE!
A tenth corner for Man City on the night and Doku can only head his effort at the back post over the bar after Haaland won the initial header
Twenty minutes remaining as we hit the second cooling break of the night.
Is this heading for added drama or will we have a winner in normal time?
Shouts for a foul and a possible booking after Leonardo was seemingly hacked down by Dias just outside the area, but the defender got just enough of the ball before making contact with the Brazilian striker.
An expert tackle from the key centre-back.
Inzaghi makes the call for his first change of the night
ON: Kaio César
OFF: Malcom
CHANCE!
A comfortable save for Bono in the end after the ball falls to Doku outside of the area before the Belgian rifles his effort right at the Moroccan shot-stopper.
What a second half on our hands here.
Just two shots on frame for Al-Hilal is all they have needed. City may well have more goals in their locker on the night but the Saudi side are proving a threat on the counter.
GOAL!!
And that didn't last long as Man City find parity on the night after Erling Haaland's goalscoring instincts allow the Norwegian to bag his third of the Club World Cup and 301st for club and country to level matters.
Man City make a triple change here to shake things up
ON: Aké, Akanji, Rodri
OFF: Gvardiol, Nunes, Gündoğan
GOAL!!
And it's two!!!
Al-Hilal strikes on the breakthrough Malcom as he raced beyond the City backline into space to slot past Ederson after the Saudi side defended a corner.
The game has turned on its head!
GOAL!!
Al-Hilal find an equaliser through young striker Marcos Leonardo as he heads home after Man City failed to properly clear their lines.
Game on in Orlando!
No changes from either Guardiola or Inzaghi as we get back underway in Orlando.
Here's what social media has to say about Bono, who has been sublime on the night for Al-Hilal to keep Man City from extending their advantage before the break.
HALF-TIME
It's been Man City's show on the night as we head into the half-time interval in Orlando.
Al-Hilal have barely scratched together any noteworthy passage of play going forward, with Pep Guardiola's men destined for - at least - a second on current evidence.
Bono denies Man City another scoring chance by getting down quick with a strong hand to parry away Savinho's rifled low cross which looked destined to find a runner inside the six-yard box.
CHANCE!
It's Al-Hilal who had a good chance to bag an equaliser against the run of play when Marcos Leonardo rose in the box to meet Mohamed Kanno's lofted cross but the Brazilian could only watch his effort float over the bar.
Into the final four minutes of action plus stoppage. Can Man City find a second here to all but guarantee their progression?
We're at the customary water break at the half-hour mark given the horrendous summer weather across the United States, with Man City showing no signs of slowing down.
CHANCE!
Man City so nearly bag their second on the night if not for a save by Bono on Savinho. Surely there's a second in this before the interval.
Doku continues to terrorise Al-Hilal in the opening 25 minutes of action in the Florida heat
Al-Hilal's protestations are turned away in the end as Man City are now pressing for a second goal to put proceedings to bed early.
GOAL!!
And it was always coming!
Bernardo Silva bags the opener inside the first ten minutes of action as the Portuguese star slots home from close range after the ball deflects off İlkay Gündoğan and sits comfortably for him to tuck away.
Was that a handball on the German midfielder, though? Or maybe even questions surrounding Rayan Aït-Nouri during the passage of play just before?
Another corner for Man City as Jérémy Doku has already made a nuisance of himself tonight, but this one comes to nothing in the end.
CHANCE!
Rúben Dias had a glorious opportunity to open the scoring after the Portuguese defender won an uncontested header in the centre of the box but he could only see his effort go straight at Bono.
Early pressure here as Man City earn their first corner of the match.
And we're off and running tonight at Camping World Stadium, with a place in the Club World Cup quarter-finals at stake.
Match officials and players are walking out - we're moments away from kick-off.
Kick-off is just fifteen minutes away in Orlando as Pep Guardiola's men look to avoid another shock result this summer.
We're underway in less than an hour from Orlando's Camping World Stadium.
Will Man City crash their way through into the quarter-finals or will Al-Hilal offer up the second huge upset of the evening?
Stay tuned with us across all the action tonight.
And here's Al-Hilal's XI under Simone Inzaghi, with Hassan Al-Tombakti unfit for service due to injury.
Manchester City have named their XI for their clash with Al-Hilal.
Here's how Pep's men will look on the pitch.
It's all kicking off in the Inter camp after their shock defeat to Fluminense, with star striker Lautaro Martínez taking shots at midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu.
Is the summer about to take an interesting twist in the aftermath of their Club World Cup campaign?
FULL TIME! FLUMINENSE ARE THROUGH!
What a win!
GOAAAAAL! FLUMINENSE ARE THROUGH!
Hércules sends Fluminense into the quarter-finals with a brilliant second goal.
That's that, and the Brazilians are home and hosed.
A famous win!
Seven minutes added on for Inter to equalise.
Two minutes to go, but the big question is how much injury time will there be?
The Brazilians will get chances on the counter from here, and Lima has the first, blasting over.
Tiredness is kicking in everywhere.
SO CLOSE FOR INTER!
Inter are pushing for the equaliser now, and have had numerous close calls.
Sebastiano Esposito forces a fine save from Fábio before Martínez hits the post.
Can Fluminense hold on?
Thiago Silva has been sensational here.
He turns 41 in September, but you wouldn't know it. Ageless.
A second water break - can it inspire Inter? They need something.
20 minutes left for Inter to save themselves.
GREAT SAVE!
Yann Sommer to the rescue for Inter, turning a fine Jhon Arias effort around the post.
It was lovely link up between Arias and Cano to create the chance, but the Swiss keeper was more than a match for it.
The next goal here is vital, if there is to be one.
Just a reminder - the winner of this will play either Manchester City or Al-Hilal in the quarter-final.
As stands, Fluminense look a good bet.
Valentín Carboni, Petar Sucic and Luis Henrique are all on, with Denzel Dumfries, Kristjan Asllani and Henrikh Mkhitaryan off.
Can fresh legs and new boys make a difference?
It's been better from Inter to start the second half, but they are still struggling in the final third.
Chivu is making early subs too, with a triple change in the 53rd minute.
And we're back under way!
Big 45 ahead.
Four of Inter's five goals in the competition have come in the second half, so this is not over by a long way.
Chivu will be hoping for a big improvement after the break though.
HALF TIME!
Cano's goal separates the sides at the break, and an upset is very much on the cards.
Fábio puts the ball out for a throw, Mkhitaryan looks to get the ball quickly, and some handbags kick off on the touchline involving Fluminense substitutes and coaches.
Their manager, Renato Gaucho, is booked for stopping the Inter midfielder taking the throw.
Never a dull day.
Into seven minutes of added time to finish the first half.
Cristian Chivu needs a big 15 minutes in the changing room.
GOAL RULED OUT FOR FLUMINENSE!
Ignácio heads the ball in from close range but a VAR check later, and he is ruled offside.
It was a really well worked goal from the Brazilians, with some head tennis between Thiago Silva and his defensive partner opening up Inter.
Dimarco has both his and Inter's second shot on target, firing a free-kick past the Fluminense wall but not past Fábio.
The players are enjoying a much-needed water break on the half hour mark.
It is so hot in the Bank of America stadium.
Matteo Darmian is taken down just outside the box, and Inter have a free-kick in a dangerous spot.
Juan Pablo Freytes joins Cano and Kristjan Asllani in the book.
Inter do nothing with their resulting effort.
Marcus Thuram fires over with a volley after another nice ball from Barella.
Moments before, the 40-year-old Thiago Silva clattered into the striker. with a very strong challenge.
No love lost between Inter and the former Milan defender!
Inter are dominating possession but are struggling to do much with it.
That Dimarco shot is their only one on target so far.
Fluminense have also had a single shot, but that led to the only goal.
CHANCE!
Inter are almost on level terms through Federico Dimarco.
It's a brilliant ball forward by Nicolò Barella to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who tees up the wing back.
Unfortunately, his shot is too close to Fluminense keeper Fábio.
Here's the opener that has Inter stunned.
GOOOOAL! FLUMINENSE AHEAD INSIDE THREE MINUTES!
What a start!
The Brazilians press Inter, and after some hesitant defending, 37-year-old Germán Cano sneaks in to head home.
Fluminense in dreamland.
KICK OFF!
And we're under way in Charlotte.
And here are the two teams, with kick-off less than an hour away!
Manchester City, fresh off a 5-2 hammering of Juventus, take on Simone Inzaghi's Al-Hilal later, but first it's the side he left for the Saudi side in action.
Inter take on Fluminense with a place in the quarter-finals on the line.
